Description

Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville, Missouri is seeking a Custodian who will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment throughout Mary Immaculate Church, School, Parish Center and its grounds.

Essential duties include:

* Providing janitorial (cleaning) services for the school including the gymnasium, the church, including the cafeteria, and the parish center per a specific schedule 

* Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets/floor coverings

* Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, counters and restock supplies

* Clean mirrors and windows

* Empty all waste baskets and recycling bins

* Perform general maintenance tasks and minor repairs as needed/requested

* Set up furniture and fixtures as needed for activities

* Submit purchase orders to pastor for approval of necessary supplies and equipment

* Perform ground maintenance and repairs to include lawn mowing, snow removal, etc.

* Schedule specialist contractors, upon supervisor approval, for specific tasks such as carpet cleaning, electrical, and/or major plumbing work

* Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to use a mobile or computer device to clock in and out on Paylocity payroll system

Two (2) years responsible employment history with some custodial experience

Ability to work independently and safely

Availability for some weekend hours

Ability to be reached by cell phone

Must attend training sessions on the prevention of child abuse

Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record and abuse/neglect
